PTOLEMAIC KINGS OF EGYPT. Ptolemy VI Philometor, first reign, 180-164 BC. Tetradrachm (Subaeratus, 28 mm, 13.30 g, 12 h), a contemporary plated imitation. Diademed head of Ptolemy I to right, wearing aegis. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΠΤΟΛΕΜΑΙΟΥ Eagle with closed wings standing left on thunderbolt. Cf. Noekse 193, SNG Copenhagen 262-8 and Svoronos 1489 (for prototype). Flan crack and with minor breaks in plating on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
